The Outgoing First Sergeant, 1SG Aaron R. Dacey, enlisted in the United States Army in 1988 as a 63W, Heavy Wheel Vehicle Mechanic. Upon leaving active duty, he joined the N.C. Army National Guard in 1992. Throughout his career, 1SG Dacey has held several unit assignments, to include the 691st Maintenance Company and an instructor with Regional Training Site-Maintenance (RTS-M). In addition, he deployed in support of Operation Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. 1SG Dacey stated his time as First Sergeant was a challenging assignment. He enjoyed building trust, mentorship, and coordinating successful training. He stated there was never a dull moment during the past four years, which made this a rewarding assignment. During the ceremony, CPT Kyle E. Rooney (HHD CDR) presented 1SG Dacey with a gift. 1SG Dacey's spouse was presented with flowers. 1SG Dacey, we appreciate your leadership and support over the years, and you will be missed!
