Working with our partners at the N.C. Forest Service, a woods fire in the western portion of our city is contained and no longer threatening homes in the area.

Residents in the neighboring communities will continue to smell and see small amounts of smoke as the contained fire continues to smolder.

If you see flames outside the containment area or have other concerns for your safety, don’t hesitate to call 911 and your Fayetteville Fire Department will respond to the needs of our community as always!
