🏢 Roof Project Update – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Sharing an important update regarding the original portion of the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office building roof.
This much needed project has been in discussion since approximately 2022. After review through the proper committees and approval by the County Commission, funding was secured to move forward with the repairs.
For many years, the original flat roof created ongoing maintenance problems and persistent leaks, raising concerns about the safety, protection, and long term preservation of the building.
After extensive planning and hard work, the roof has now been fully repaired and replaced with a new roofing system designed to correct those long standing issues. Unlike the previous flat design, the new roof is properly sloped toward the drains, allowing water to flow off efficiently instead of pooling and causing damage over time.
This improvement will help protect the building for years to come while also providing a safer environment for our employees and the public we serve.
We’re also pleased to report that although the original estimate for the project was approximately $1.5 million, the work is now expected to be completed under budget at around $1.1 million.
We appreciate the patience and support of our community and employees throughout this project. The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office remains committed to improving and maintaining the facilities that serve the citizens of Lincoln County.
