At Haymount Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, we want to thank you for your support and encouragement that so many of you have shown us in the past few weeks. We understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, and we are thankful for your efforts as we work together to keep our residents safe.

We are fortunate not to have had COVID-19 in our facility, and we have implemented a screening process for our residents to continue to keep everyone safe.

We are also screening our staff members prior to every shift, utilizing face masks and other PPE in the facility, and providing meals for staff to avoid any unnecessary trips in and out of the facility.

We continue to use Skype and FaceTime for visits. We ask that you do not try to visit your loved one through a window or drop off any care packages at this time. Know that social distancing is the best thing you can do for your loved one at this time. We are eager for things to return to normal too, and we thank you for your understanding and cooperation in the meantime.

Stay informed to stay safe! Here at Haymount Rehabilitation & Nursing Center, we want to arm our community, residents, and staff with all the necessary information to stay healthy.

This graphic shows how long the Coronavirus can live on different surfaces. For this reason we ask that you please do not send care packages to your loved ones at this time, especially those who are most vulnerable to illness. Consider scheduling a video call with your family members instead!

Proper hygiene and common sense are still the best defense against communicable disease.
Wash your hands often, for at least 20 seconds, with soap and warm water. Stay home if you have a fever, and avoid those who have symptoms.

Remember, the elderly and those with compromised immune systems or other pre-existing health concerns should take extra precautions to stay well, especially during times of disease outbreak.
