SFC Long recently competed in the XVIII Airborne Corps 2025 Career Counselor of the Year competition. Through all of her hard work and effortless knowledge, she was awarded the Retention Excellence Award in Leadership. SFC Long has had a huge impact on our organization retaining only the Army’s finest soldiers and keeping us informed on what’s available to us and all our options in just the short time she has been with us.

This morning, our 50th Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced welcomed their new commander during a change of command Ceremony.

After spending 24 months as the commander of the 50th ESB-E, Lt. Col. Merlin Kynaston handed over command to Lt. Col. Andrew Sandstrum.

Congratulations & Best of luck to Lt. Col. Kynaston; you will be dearly missed & welcome, Lt. Col. Sandstrum!

⚡️REDESIGNATION⚡️

Yesterday, during a redesignation ceremony, the 63rd Signal Battalion was officially renamed the 63rd Expeditionary Signal Battalion-Enhanced (ESB-E).

From 2022 to today, the 63rd Expeditionary Signal Battalion has successfully supported multiple joint special operations and served as the lone expeditionary signal battalion providing signal support to units in Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Kuwait.
