Everything kicks off on Monday June 15th for the 0-5 Storytime at 11 AM. *𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵

Fridays at 2 is Fossil Finders 🧐 for ages 6-11. Something new this year for the older kiddos.
*𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘦 𝘢𝘯 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘬 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵

Each week on different days there will be an event geared towards the even older kiddos - ages 12-18. These events will be different & shared weekly. ☺️

The kick off week — WE HAVE:

Wednesday June 17th at 5 is a family fun event. Learn all about space rocks & how they helped shape Earth’s surface. Fun for all ages.

Thursday June 18th at 2 is the Dino Zen Garden for ages 12-18.

Orbit into the Fayetteville-Perry Library on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at 5pm for the Cincinnati Observatory's presentation on meteors. The entire family can learn all about space rocks and how they helped shape the earth’s surface.

Like I mentioned, us Friends had a VERY productive Annual Meeting in February.

Sometimes as a non-profit group. It’s hard to find individuals that want to (& are able to) devote their time and efforts for nothing monetarily in return.

I might be biased, but we have one of the BEST groups around. Last year we endured some changes. One of them was losing our VP to a move away from our community. 💔 She can NEVER be replaced and we miss her SO much.
The next position we filled was VP of the board.
Yours truly was nominated & at first I wasn’t sure I was up to the challenge.. but being at the meeting and being nominated by our members is what motivated me to step up and accept.

🗳️ I was voted in, in February!

The ebbs and flows are a hard thing to keep under control & I will do my best — but Cassie is very missed, especially by me. 🫶🏼😢

Thank you to the members of this group for voting & trusting me to help lead you all. I’m excited about the future of our group, our library, and our county! I can’t wait to serve everyone, because I mean I basically live at the library, right? 🤓🤪

A Summer Reading Program event!

Little Chompers, ages 0-5, can learn about local fossils from special guest Danielle Thompson (Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District) while enjoying a hands-on activity perfect for tiny paleontologists. The fun is happening at the Fayetteville-Perry Library on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11am.

🦕 Calling all Little Chompers, ages 0–5! 🦕Stomp into our Summer Reading Storytime for a dino-mite time with songs, stories, and activities perfect for your little ones. Bring your tiny dinos to the Fayetteville-Perry Library on Mondays, June 15 - July 27, 2026, at 11am and get ready for a prehistoric adventure!

Us Friends have had some exciting changes in 2026. Back in February we elected a few new officers/positions to the board.

We announced our new Secretary. Next up is a position that is a lot of behind the scenes creativity. But without her & her knowledge there are things we ABSOLUTELY could not do.

She doesn’t love the spotlight, but we love her and her talents. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give her a shout out — with her permission of course. 😉

We are blessed to have her creating some new items — first one was our awesome Newsletter, we’ve been sharing, the rest of her work.. we will be sharing in the coming weeks & months. So stay tuned & join me in congratulating her on this new opportunity.
