Sincere thank you to all who attended the 9/11 Remembrance and Flag-Raising Ceremony. A special thank you to the Fayetteville, Manlius, Minoa and Kirkville Fire Departments as well as the Town of Manlius Police for their help in observing the 25th Anniversary of the tragic events of 9/11/2001.

Councilor Mike Nesci read a Proclamation from the Town Board Commemorating the 25th Anniversary of the Terrorist Attacks of September 11th, 2001.

The Proclamation concluded, " We remember those we lost. We honor those who answered the call. We stand with those who still carry the wounds of that day. And we reaffirm, for this generation and those yet to come: We will not forget."

📢 TAX OFFICE CLOSURE & SCHOOL TAX COLLECTION INFORMATION

The Town of Manlius Tax Office will be closed on Friday, September 4th.

The 2026–2027 School Tax Bills were mailed on September 3rd.

📅 The first day we can accept school tax payments is Tuesday, September 8th.

Please be advised that the County inadvertently posted the 2026 School Tax amounts on its website prior to the start of our collection period.

We cannot accept any school tax payments before September 8th.

PRESS RELEASE:
For Immediate Release: The Manlius Facility Study Group to Attend September Village Festivals. The Town of Manlius Facility Study Group will be present at the village festivals in September to inform the community about its ongoing findings. Group members will be available at Minoa’s Festival in the Park on September 12, the Fayetteville Festival on September 19, and the Village of Manlius Swan Fest on September 26. The Study Group invites the public to learn more about the condition of the Police Department and Town Hall. The community is invited to engage with Study Group members who will have collages and educational materials, an online survey, and videos to allow more members of the community to see our existing facilities.

There will be a ONE DAY delay for Trash pickup the week of September 7th, due to the Labor Day holiday.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE ALERT 🚧

Beginning Tuesday, September 8, Troop K Road will be closed between NYS Route 173 and Post Road for a bridge replacement project.

Motorists should follow the posted off-site detour and allow additional travel time. The project is expected to be completed by the end of the construction season.

Please plan accordingly and share this information with others who may be impacted.

📢 **Soliciting Permits – Renewal by Andersen**

The Town of Manlius has issued soliciting permits to **two employees of Renewal by Andersen** as of today. These permits are valid through **September 30, 2026**.

Both employees have been issued:
• A **photo ID bearing the Town seal**
• A **soliciting license bearing the Town seal**

Solicitors are required to **carry these credentials and provide them to residents upon request**.

📍 **Please note:** These permits are valid **only for residents within the Town of Manlius outside of the villages**.

Residents are encouraged to ask to see the required identification and permit before engaging with solicitors at their door.
