ExOPS has presented general overviews of Supplemental Security Income (SSI) in the past and those videos can be found by going to https://exops.org/presentations-videos .The purpose of this meeting is to provide a deeper dive in to the nuances of the rules and regulations of Supplemental Security Income as it pertains to your child’s ability to work and earn income. Many of you have questions about income and assets and how they impact eligibility for maintaining Social Security benefits.

Anna Maki is the Director of Benefits Navigation at Bobby Dodd Institute and is a Community Partner Work Incentive Counselor with Social Security Administration. For People with Developmental Disabilities

Presented by
Ginny Duhon – Special Needs Attorney
Janet Smola – Executive Director of ExOPS

Do you ever feel perplexed or overwhelmed when searching for information or services for your loved one with a Developmental Disability? Have you just moved here from another State and are unfamiliar with Georgia’s funding opportunities? Are you wondering when to apply for Supplemental Security Income or a Medicaid waiver? Do you wonder what you have to do to have your child be eligible for funding and services?

Janet Smola and Ginny Duhon will provide an overview of funding and services here in Georgia and will answer any general questions you have about Medicaid waivers, Supplemental Security Income, Guardianship and Special Needs Trusts.
