On 3/4/26 Fayette Fire along with Lakes Region Mutual Aide group and Livermore Falls Fire responded to a chimney fire. On arrival it was determined the chimney was completely blocked and there was a fire in the basement. Since the weather is going to be warmer next week please take the time to check your chimney and stove pipes for creosote build up. This will be a great time to cutdown on the chance of having one yourself. Thanks.
