🚨 SEVERE WEATHER ALERT 🚨

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for Clare and Isabella Counties until 2:00 AM Friday morning.

A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for the development of tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. Now is the time to review your emergency plans and stay alert to changing weather conditions throughout the night.

✅ Have multiple ways to receive weather warnings.
✅ Charge your phones and electronic devices.
✅ Know where your safe shelter location is.
✅ Be prepared to take immediate action if a Tornado Warning is issued.

Stay safe and be prepared.

⚠️ Please verify current watches and warnings through the National Weather Service and local emergency management agencies, as conditions can change rapidly.

Tornado Watch is in effect through 2AM Friday. All thunderstorms hazards will be possible with damaging winds and embedded tornadoes as the greatest threats as the line moves across Michigan. Large hail and flooding are also possible. An additional Severe Thunderstorm Watch may be needed later for some or all of the counties not included in this watch!

The wait is finally over! Tomorrow, we officially celebrate the opening of Mill Pond Park, and we would love for the community to join us for this exciting milestone.

From planning to construction to finishing touches, so many people have played a role in making this park a reality. We are thrilled to welcome everyone to enjoy this beautiful new space in the heart of Farwell.

We are getting closer and closer to this year's Lumberjack Festival, and the excitement is building! We are especially excited that this year's Lumberjack 5K will be held at Mill Pond Park, giving participants a chance to experience the beautiful space!

What an incredible Memorial Day & 250th Celebration here in Farwell!
