Yesterday, students in our Construction Trades program had a special visitor, Mr. Jim McLuskey of McLusky Showcase Kitchen and Baths and President of Mercer County Builders Association. Mr. McLusky showed students how to use the butterfly patch method to repair dry wall. We are thankful to outside partners who volunteer their time to work with our students!

Day 2 of our inservice training was another successful day. We experienced an engaging and informative time of discussion, reflection, activities, and meaningful conscious conversations in preparation for the 2026 - 2027 school year. The 2026 - 2027 school year began yesterday for our instructional staff with Day 1 of our series of inservice training days. Special thanks to our opening day motivational speaker and former Pittsburgh Steelers lineman, Mr. Mike Adams, our legal counsel and presenter, Russell Lucas, Esq. (Andrews & Price, LLC), and workshop facilitator, Mr. Brandon Wiley, of Opened Eyes (Erie, PA), and our administrators and staff for a great opening day. Day 2 of our inservice is currently underway!

Russell C. Phillips is ending the 2025-2026 school year having given out over 640 Golden Tickets to students in PreK-6th grade! Students who earn Golden Tickets are following school wide expectations of: Being Respectful, Living Responsibility, Upholding Integrity and Encouraging Others. Congratulations to all the students who earned tickets this year! But a great big Congratulations to the 4 students who earned 7 Golden Tickets this year!
