Tonight we had the privilege of honoring the memories of the 343 firefighters, as well as the other responders and innocent civilians, who lost their lives on September 11th, 2001 with our 1st 9/11 Stair Climb. It is important to never forget the sacrifices made that day, and the lives lost since, because of that fateful morning.
The turnout was amazing and we are so appreciative of the support. We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge those who helped organize and make this event possible. First and foremost, Firefighter Jack Gates and Sergeant Monica Rose. They worked to set this up and make it happen. The City Of Farrell, Pa and City manager, Shawn Anderson. The staff and school board at the Farrell School District. All the donors who supplied drinks and snacks. And most importantly, the first responders and citizens who go came out to honor and remember.
We are already planning our next event and look forward to seeing everyone there again, and more!!
