With heavy hearts, we join the fire service community in mourning the loss of two brave firefighters who were tragically killed in the line of duty in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, after being targeted by a sniper while responding to a call. These heroes answered the call, ran toward danger, and made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting their community.

As we grieve, our thoughts and prayers are also with the first responders still on the ground, working tirelessly to bring justice and ensure the safety of others.

To the families, friends, and departments impacted by this senseless act, the members of Farmville Fire Department stand with you. We honor your loss, and we carry the memory of your fallen with us.

We will never forget.
