If you can't make it to any of the in person events you can conduct your own clean-up effort on smaller sites like your private property, school, workplace, or anywhere else you have permission. Please make sure you're able to dispose of any trash collected yourself.

FUNDING OPPURTUNITY
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is providing up to $2.85 million in federal funds for competitive grants to address pollution in Virginia. Applications will be accepted from organizations who can respond to an immediate need to provide funding to homeowners at or below the 200% of the federal poverty guidelines to repair failing onsite sewage (septic) systems, replace straight pipes, replace privies, replace inadequate private wells, and properly abandoning unused wells. Funding for connection to public sewer and water is also available. Grant awards can range from $100,000 to $300,000. Initial application window closes April 27, 2022, however VDH anticipates issue of a second offering for unallocated funds in May 2022.
