Join us at Southeast Missouri DSA at 6:00 PM on Friday May 29th to watch Episode 2 of the new docuseries "The Elements of Mutual Aid"!

The second episode "Earth" looks more at the "how" of mutual aid -- how to grow interconnected roots to support communities, how local needs and capacity inform projects, how we can create a network of projects over large areas, and how we build infrastructure which outlasts points of crisis.

The episode will be about 65 minutes. We will have an introductory discussion before the episode. You can also join the live chat during the stream!

We are excited to announce that the next book our Banned Book Club will be discussing will be Genderqueer in honor of Pride Month. Our next meeting will be June 20th at 2 pm at the Farmington Public Library and we hope to see you there! 🏳️‍🌈

This week, we will be having a virtual watch party on Friday at 6 pm where we will be watching the first episode of Elements of Mutual Aid and a Sidewalk Chalk protest at the Farmington Courthouse from 12 to 2 pm on Saturday. We hope to see you there.

We are excited to announce that some of our chapter members are going to be hosting a long form book club at the Ozark Regional Library in Fredricktown. The first meeting is May 19 from 6 to 7:30 and we hope to see you there!

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Mayday events this weekend. We had a great turnout at Friday's rally and Saturday's Solidarity School! We also want to thank Clayton Christopher Harbison for the People of the 8th for coming to speak.

This is our last reminder that we will be having a MayDay protest and rally tomorrow at the Farmington Courthouse from 9 am to 3 pm. We will have Clayton Christopher Harbison for the People of the 8th as a speaker and lunch will be provided. We hope to see you there!

We are happy to announce that we will be discussing The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton at our next Banned Book Club Meeting on May 16th at 2 pm at the Farmington Public Library. We hope to see you there!
