25 years ago tonight, people went to bed expecting tomorrow to be just another day.

✈️ 246 people prepared for their morning flights.
🏢 2,606 people prepared for another day at work.
🚒 343 firefighters prepared for their shifts.
🚔 60 police officers prepared for patrol.
🚑 8 paramedics prepared for another day of saving lives.

None of them knew what September 11, 2001 would bring.

In a single moment, life can change forever.

So tonight, as you prepare for tomorrow, kiss the people you love. Hug them a little longer. Snuggle a little tighter. Say the words you’ve been meaning to say. ❤️

Slow down.

Appreciate the ordinary moments we so easily rush past—the conversations, the laughter, the hugs, the people sitting beside you.

Hold the door. Give the compliment. Make the phone call. Help someone. Choose kindness. 🇺🇸

Because the “little things” really aren’t little at all.

Each year, we are honored to open our doors and serve lunch to the incredible first responders and public safety officials of San Juan County. It’s our small way of saying THANK YOU for the service, sacrifice, and commitment you give our community every day.

If you received an email from Cooper Fire Protection Services regarding an “Upcoming Project” with links to project plans or proposal documents — please DO NOT click the links and delete the email immediately.
Unfortunately, one of our email accounts was compromised by a scammer today, and they sent out a phishing email pretending to be us. Our team is actively working to resolve the issue.
Ironically, this happened while our entire company is away at a team-building retreat in the mountains with approximately zero bars of cell service. So if response times have been a little slower today… now you know why. 🏔️📵
A few quick reminders:
🚫 We will never ask you to click suspicious file-sharing links unexpectedly
🚫 Be cautious of urgent proposal requests or unfamiliar attachments
✅ When in doubt, call us directly to verify

ATTENTION- MONITORING CUSTOMERS!!!

NATIONWIDE OUTAGE

We are currently aware of an issue affecting M2M cellular communications through one of our data center providers. As a result, some alarm panels may display a supervisory or communication trouble signal and may beep periodically.
Your alarm system will continue to function locally. This alert is related to the communication path to the monitoring network.

To silence the beeping on most alarm keypads:
1 Press the “Silence,” or “Acknowledge,” button on the keypad if available.
2 If your keypad does not have these options, enter your user code and press OFF or DISARM.

This will silence the audible alert, but the supervisory signal may remain on the display until communication is restored.

Our provider is actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. No service call is required at this time. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.
