At today’s Rotary meeting, we were pleased to welcome Carrie Olson as our newest member. She is sponsored by Jyl Adair, and we are excited to have her join our club.

We also heard from Sandra Connell, Chief Nursing Officer of the new Exceptional Community Hospital. She shared insights about the facility and spoke about their experiences during the first two weeks of operations, including the opportunities and challenges that come with launching a new healthcare resource in our community.

Today at Rotary, we heard from Rick Burns of Karadah Project International, a group which serves refugee women and children in Afghanistan. The organization provides food and educational resources to those displaced into conflict in their country. This allows these families to move out of poverty and begin to stand on their own in places where women are often not given opportunities to be successful.
