Farmington Hills Special Services Department Creating community through people, parks and programs. The Special Services Department takes great pride in offering a wide variety of activities year-round.

Utilizing the beautiful park system, the many city facilities and various public schools, programs are offered for individuals of all ages. We work closely with the private sector, City commissions and various youth groups and organizations in an attempt to offer one of the most well-rounded group of recreation and cultural programs in the state.

Get ready for the summer season with the City of Farmington Hills at Kick Off 2 Summer, a free annual community event that celebrates the start of the summer recreation season with immersive activities for the whole family, including:

-Basketball, football and other contests
-Swimming in the state-of-the-art aquatics center
-Prizes and giveaways from The Hawk
-Crafts and musical performances
-Interactive fitness demonstrations
-Bouncers and more

Food and beverages will be available for purchase, including beer and wine. Kick Off 2 Summer is sponsored by T-Fiber and Oakland County Parks.
