We would like to take a moment to recognize Officer Aaron Bowles, who was recently honored by MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) for his outstanding efforts in combating impaired driving.

In 2025, Officer Bowles made 33 DWI arrests, helping keep our roads safer and protecting our community from the dangers of impaired drivers.

We have recently received a report of a scam in which individuals are impersonating local police officers and attempting to contact citizens by phone.

The caller may claim to be a police officer and use various tactics to create a sense of urgency, including stating that you have missed jury duty, have an outstanding warrant, owe fines, or must make an immediate payment to avoid arrest.

Remember:
•The Farmington Police Department will never demand payment over the phone.
•We will never request payment through gift cards, prepaid debit cards, cryptocurrency, or electronic payment apps.
•Do not provide personal, financial, or banking information to unsolicited callers.

If you are unsure whether a call is legitimate, contact St. Francois County Central Dispatch directly at 573-431-3131 to verify the information.

Farmington, Missouri (June 15, 2026) - One June 12, 2026, at approximately 6:42am, officers and EMS personnel were dispatched to the intersection of Perrine Road and Air Park Drive in reference to a traffic crash involving a motor vehicle and a bicyclist.

🚨 Community Notice 🚨

Farmington Police and Fire Departments, along with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Cozean Memorial Chapel, will be participating in Farmington High School’s annual Mock Accident on Friday, April 24, 2026, starting at 1:15 PM.

This demonstration takes place each year before prom to educate students and highlight the dangers of drinking and driving.

You may notice emergency vehicles in the area around the high school during this time, but it is only for demonstration purposes.
