NYB Teen Outreach Program NYB facilitates TOP® to teens. This page was developed as a safe zone for teens and parents to get more information and ask questions. Government.

Navajo Youth Builders (NYB) has partnered with the Wyman Center to facilitate the Teen Outreach Program® (TOP). TOP® teaches youth how to make the best decisions possible in regards to teen pregnancy, risky behavior and focuses on enhancing youth development. Wyman’s Teen Outreach Program® (TOP®) is an evidence-based best practice program specifically designed for teens in 6th to 12th grade. Guide

d by an engaging and relevant nine-month curriculum, TOP® reduces the risk of problem behavior while promoting healthy choices and empowering teens to lead successful lives and build strong communities. This cost-effective approach is grounded in contemporary research and nationally recognized as a program that delivers real results. Wyman’s TOP® works by providing communities, organizations and schools with a tested framework for creating or enhancing local youth development efforts. There are three essential goals that every teen in our program can build a foundation of success from: healthy behaviors, life skills, and a sense of purpose. Funding for this project was made possible under funding announcement # OPHS/OHA-TPP Tier1-2010 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health, Office of Adolescent Health, and with funding support from the Administration for Children, Youth and Families/Family and Youth Services Bureau. The views expressed in written materials or publications do not necessarily reflect the official policies of the Department of Health and Human Services; nor does mention of trade names, commercial practices, or organizations imply endorsement by the U.S.

To all who have struggled with thoughts of su***de – thank you for being here, for the strength you show in every moment. This art celebrates you.

The butterfly is a symbol of transformation, hope, and re-birth. The semi-colon is a symbol of resilience in the face of su***de – a symbol of when your story could have ended, but it didn’t.

If you or someone you love is experiencing thoughts of su***de, dial 988 or text “Native” to 741741 to receive 24/7 emotional support. We care about you. You are not alone 💜
