It’s National Child Protection Week.

Keeping children safe is a responsibility we all share. As a community, we can help protect children by staying aware, speaking up, and reporting any suspected child abuse or neglect.

Every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and protected. Together, we can help create a safer community for all children.

September is Sexual Health Awareness Month.

Sexual health is an important part of overall health and well-being. It includes having access to accurate information, understanding consent and healthy relationships, and feeling empowered to make informed decisions about your body and health.

At Sexual Assault Services of Northwest New Mexico, we believe that education, open conversations, and access to supportive resources can help create safer and healthier communities.

This month let’s continue the conversation about sexual health, consent, healthy relationships, and the importance of respecting and supporting one another.

We are excited to welcome Lisa to the Sexual Assault Services of Northwest New Mexico team!

Lisa previously worked as a Victim Advocate, supporting survivors of domestic violence and juvenile victims. She also served as a Parent Liaison for a local school, helping strengthen communication between families and schools to support student success. In addition, Lisa worked as a 911 Dispatcher with two different law enforcement agencies.

Her experience, compassion, and dedication to serving others make her a wonderful addition to our team. We are excited to have her with us as she continues to advocate for survivors, build meaningful connections in our community, and make a positive impact!
