Thank you to our employees for supporting our recent snack drive.

The donations collected were recently delivered to support a community-wide effort benefiting local elementary students participating in summer programs through Davis School District.

We appreciate everyone who contributed, as well as Davis School District Federal Programs and North Davis Communities that Care for helping make this effort possible and supporting youth in our community.

Thank you to KSL for recognizing his years of service and dedication to the community.

The Davis County Sheriff’s Office and Kaysville Police Department are aware of social media posts circulating that encourage juveniles to gather in our local communities and engage in unsafe and illegal behavior.

We want to remind the community that behavior creating safety risks, damaging property, disrupting businesses, or placing others at risk will not be tolerated. Additional law enforcement presence will be in the area, and enforcement action will be taken when appropriate.

Parents, please know where your children are, who they are with, and what their plans are for this weekend. We’ve recently had several cases that have caused disruption, property damage and safety risks due to these gatherings. A quick conversation can go a long way.

Where do you think MOST online conversations happen?

When people think about online conversations, social media is often the first thing that comes to mind. But kids connect in many places online - gaming platforms, messaging features, videos, livestreams, and more.

Apps change. Conversations happen everywhere.

Law Enforcement Investigating Threat Report Near West Point Junior High

At approximately 1:06 p.m., Davis County Communications Center received a 911 call showing close proximity to West Point Junior High. This call promptly disconnected. At approximately 1:09 p.m., a second call was received referencing explosives and threatened violence toward West Point Junior High.

Deputies were immediately dispatched at approximately 1:10 p.m., and the first officer arrived on scene at approximately 1:12 p.m. Multiple law enforcement agencies responded and conducted coordinated searches of the school, classrooms, surrounding property, and nearby areas.

Out of an abundance of caution, several surrounding schools implemented secure hold procedures while law enforcement and school officials assessed the threat's credibility and ensured the safety of students and staff.

At this time, no credible threats or hazardous devices have been located.

The school day concluded under normal dismissal procedures, including standard parent pick-up and bus transportation operations.

The Davis County Sheriff’s Office, Davis School District, and assisting agencies remain involved as the investigation continues. An after-action review will also be conducted with the school district.

Investigators believe the individuals connected to the calls have been identified. Additional information will be released as appropriate as the investigation continues.

Today, as flags across the nation fly at half-staff in observance of Peace Officers Memorial Day, we pause to remember the law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to others.

While we held our memorial ceremony last week, honoring our fallen continues beyond a single day. Each year, members of the Honor Guard take time to clean and prepare the resting places of fallen Davis County deputies before flowers are placed—a quiet act of respect and remembrance.

Because remembering isn't limited to a ceremony—it lives on in the traditions, service and people who continue to honor them.

Their service and sacrifice will never be forgotten. 💙
