Town of Farmington Fire Department, Connecticut We are a combination fire department served by 114 volunteer Firefighters/EMTs and 9 career Firefighters/EMTs - providing fire, rescue, & medical services.

The Town of Farmington Fire Department, which includes the East Farmington, East Farmington Station #2(Oakland Gardens), Farmington, Tunxis Hose, and Southwest Fire Stations provides Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services throughout the Town of Farmington. The Fire Department is a "combination department” which means that it is staffed by a combination of approximately 114 Volunteer Firefighters and 9 Career Firefighters. the department responds to about 4,000 calls for service annually.

Effective at 2:00pm on Monday, July 8 through 5:00pm on Wednesday, July 10, Connecticut's Extreme Hot Weather Protocol will be activated. The purpose of this protocol is to ensure that the most vulnerable populations receive protection from the hot conditions.

The Farmington Community & Senior Center (321 New Britain Avenue, Unionville, CT) will be available to residents as a Cooling Center from 9:00am until 9:00pm.

If you are concerned about an elderly or disabled resident during this time, please contact: Farmington Community Services at 860-675-2390.
