❗️ We are still 100% percent full in dogs and we need your help ❗️

We are out of space to take dogs in and save lives, so we are asking the community to please help us out in any way that you can.

Meet Odessa

This fun and playful girl is ready to have a human companion to play with. She is extremely extroverted and loves to play with other dogs. Odessa is skilled in tug of war, and will do just about anything for a squeaky toy. She is also food motivated, meaning she may be willing to learn some tricks.

Come meet Odessa- we’re open everyday from 11:30am to 5:30pm.

Though our shelter doesn’t offer chipping services, tare a number of benefits that come with microchipping your pets to be aware of. Some of these benefits include:

🐾 Permanent, lifelong identification (that can be changed to fit new information if needed)
🐾 Provides proof of ownership if your pet is ever lost, found and then taken to a shelter
🐾 Helps improve the chances of being reunited with your furry friend

It’s important to note that microchips do NOT track your pets, they are simply to provide information if they get lost. Make sure you keep your information updated on the chip so you can be notified when they are found.

Meet Shade from her foster home! ❤️🐾

“Shade is learning everyday. Lots of curiosity and not afraid of anything. She holds her ground and gets feisty when my dog has had enough of her antics. When I throw a toy she would lose sight of it, but now has learned to follow it. She is protective of me when my dog gets closer than she thinks he should. I haven't got her house trained yet, but she definitely understands "go outside", but hasn't learned to let me know when she needs to go out. She definitely enjoys being outside, but is always ready to come back inside.
She has affectionate moments, but is not interested in sitting beside me on the couch.
She has done very well with baths, and although curious about my pond, she hasn't tried to get in it. She is interested in the turtles when they come out of the pond, and will follow them as they retreat, but doesn't bother them.
She's great about coming when called. but is too excited to sit when I try to teach that.
She does great at bedtime and will run to her crate in anticipation of a bedtime treat.”

It’s Dog Walker Appreciation Day!

Thank you to all of our dog walkers for everything they do to help the pups get out of the shelter for a little while. This helps provide vital exercise and mental stimulation that helps lower stress for all dogs.
