Volunteering works… and it works best when it’s designed to.

Today, Points of Light is launching a new Theory of Change for purposeful volunteerism: a clear, evidence-based framework that shows how intentional volunteer engagement leads to more connected individuals, more resilient organizations, and stronger communities.
 
The takeaway is simple: Impact isn't by accident. It's by design. Volunteering becomes a scalable force for change, not just an act of goodwill.
 
It’s also a step toward Points of Light's larger goal of doubling volunteering by 2035 and strengthening civic life nationwide.

NACSA President, Donna Whitcomb had the pleasure of attending the Voices for National Service Steering Committee session in DC this week. They took time to recognize the leaders who have been willing to lift their voice in support of AmeriCorps and AmeriCorps Seniors.
While there, she took the time to meet with members of congress and share the important works our programs are doing.

AEOA Volunteer Services would like to share the following community engagement opportunities.
🌱Olcott Park Botanical Garden Friends of the Greenhouse volunteers help care for plants while cultivating and growing community connections. Located in Virginia MN.
🥕Second Harvest Northland volunteers help fight food scarcity by packing and sorting food and produce. Volunteers are needed in Duluth on Thursday and Friday mornings beginning at 9 a.m.
