Metropolitan Mosquito Control District began their field season this week. Residents may see MMCD trucks, helicopters, drones, and staff in neighborhoods, parks, and near wetlands. This year they have new bright yellow “Public Health Mosquito Control” safety vests that they will be wearing when working outdoors.

The City of Empire is seeking a qualified, motivated, and community-focused individual to serve as Deputy Clerk. This full-time position is detail-orientated and plays a central role in assisting the Clerk-Administrator with day-to-day office operations and works closely with our Park & Recreation Commission in planning for and carrying out community events. This is a great opportunity to play a meaningful role in local government while working in community focused environment. The City of Empire is a small but growing community with a cohesive staff, supportive city council, and takes pride it’s welcoming neighborhoods, parks and trails, and engagement with residents.

Empire employees (full-time) are provided with excellent benefits including fully covered health, dental and life insurance.

Qualifications:
• General knowledge of operating computers and I-pads.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
• Ability to work in a professional manner when working with the public and other employees.
• Ability to attend some evening meetings.
• Ability to be well organized and to multi-task.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.

Expected hiring Range - $28.50 - $35.00

Full wage Range- $28.50 - $39.21 *Subject to approval of draft Compensation and Classification Study
