October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Please take some time to read the information below. Thanks and be safe!

Domestic violence is real issue that impacts our community on a regular basis. The pain, suffering, and collateral damage it causes within families, relationships, and the parties involved is significant and lasting. Because of this and the statistics that show that these crimes, more often than not, escalate in frequency and the level of violence, it is extremely important to seek help immediately.
If you are in a situation like this, whether an intimate partner, family member, child, parent, roommate, or are otherwise affected party, seek resources immediately. This can be done by calling police during such an emergency, by dialing 9-1-1, or even texting 9-1-1 (YES, you can actually send text messages to 9-1-1). These incidents can also be reported anytime by stopping into our police department or calling our non-emergency number.
