🚨 EXCITING NEWS FROM THE FARMINGTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT 🚨

With all this rainy weather the Farmington Volunteer Fire Department is proud to announce the purchase of a new 14-foot Swift Water Rescue Boat, further strengthening our ability to protect and serve our community and the surrounding areas.

This new addition will provide our department with enhanced capabilities during the event of a flood, water rescues, search operations, and other emergencies involving water. As severe weather and flooding incidents continue to impact our region, having the right equipment and training is essential to ensuring a rapid and effective response.

In addition to acquiring this specialized rescue boat, a majority of the Farmington team will be completing Swift Water Rescue Technician training this August. This investment in both equipment and personnel reflects our commitment to providing the highest level of emergency service possible.

We anticipate having the boat fully equipped and placed into service by August, ready to respond wherever it is needed.

We would like to thank our members and the Farmington community for their continued support. Because of you, we are able to expand our capabilities and remain prepared for the challenges of tomorrow.

Farmington Volunteer Fire Department took advantage of some new inventory that was just delivered! We supplied 2 Motorola XVE500 remote speaker microphones, 4 Motorola 3400 mAh batteries, and upgraded their charging equipment to Motorola IMPRES 2 chargers.

Please join us in our annual canoe race! The race will be Saturday, May 2nd and begin at 9am with registration starting at 8. The race travels from the park to Farmington fire department.

Following the race, there will be food and door prizes provided by us! This is always a great time for true competitors or just kids looking to have fun! If you have any questions, please see one of the firefighters!
