As you consider how much you might support Lodestar or other worthy causes this year, please give some thoughts to the things people tend to get wrong about non-profits. Worthy causes always need help and it's almost always more than we realize.

Lodestar is pleased to announce it has been selected as Famingdale Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce's 2026 Non-Profit of the Year! We are honored to receive this prestigious distinction, thankful to be headquartered in Farmingdale, and fortunate to be able to serve children and teens across 4 counties since 2016!

Icebergs are a powerful reminder that what we can see is only a small part of the whole.

At Lodestar, the services we provide to children and families are just the tip of the iceberg. Every day, our team takes on countless tasks and challenges that may never be seen or talked about—but are essential to supporting families and helping children remain safely at home and in their communities.

And many of those things aren't funded by society at large.

Our 10th Anniversary Celebration is an opportunity to come together, celebrate what we've accomplished, and help us continue investing in the work beneath the service—client needs, staff training, program expansion, innovation, and the countless things that make meaningful support possible.

On this day ten years ago in 2016, Lodestar officially incorporated as a 501(c)3 charitable organization. Since that time, we have helped hundreds of families by providing impactful mental health support to children and teens directly in the homes and communities where they live.

Today, we celebrate the hundreds of individuals who have contributed to this amazing and vital mission. Lodestar gives its most heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey and helped along the way.
