🌀 MY THOUGHTS AND OPINION DOWN THE ROAD ON 98L/ FUTURE HERMINE... as I stated a few days ago I still think this system will take a more northern hook and track over or near Cuba and towards the Florida Pennisula. This is still just an early guess but it's just my gut feeling based on future variables and current model runs and trends. Could I be wrong... DEFINITELY so take this with a grain of salt and we shall see 🤷‍♂️

FOR NOW WE HAVE 2 CAMPS... one camp including the GFS continues to develop 98L furthur south in the Caribbean which brings it more west potentially impacting Louisiana and the Northern Gulf Coast. The other camp which includes the EURO develops this more north bringing it near or across Cuba and into Florida Pennisula which I still think is the eventual outcome.

BOTTOM LINE... there is still nothing solid on the future of Hermine past the Caribbean and these are just my thoughts and opinion. At this point there is still nothing solid for us to be too concerned with here in Louisiana and there's plenty of time... let's continue to stay calm... stay alert... stay prepared and watch the trends over the next few days 😎💪❤️

Delta Update:
Delta is now a Category 3 Major Hurricane with max sustained winds at 115 MPH. This strengthened faster than what was projected earlier and now indicates that Delta could be stronger than a Cat 2 at landfall. Will update as things change.

4 PM Update: Tropical Storm Beta is starting to pick up the pace this afternoon. It is still moving WNW at 6 MPH towards Texas where it will make landfall as a Tropical Storm sometime tomorrow evening. Beta will then track NE along the coast and eventually move through the ArkLaMiss. By the time it reaches us here, it will be a Post Tropical Low. This means that we won't see much of a threat in terms of winds. The main issue for us will be heavy rainfall. Anywhere from 4-8" of rain can be expected. Flash flooding, as well as urban and river flooding, could be an issue. We are still a few days out with this system, so the forecast is still subject to change. First Alert! We officially have our first named Hurricane of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season. Hurricane Hannah is a Cat 1 with sustained winds at 75mph. It is expected to strengthen as it approaches landfall in south Texas later today.
