This month, our school wide character trait is Cooperation! 🤝
Cooperation means working together, listening to others, sharing ideas, and doing your part to help a group succeed. When students learn how to cooperate, they build stronger friendships, solve problems more effectively, and create a positive school community.
Our school counselor will be visiting each classroom to teach lessons focused on cooperation. Throughout the month, teachers will also intentionally highlight and celebrate examples of students working together, encouraging one another, and contributing to team success.
💡 How you can support Cooperation at home:
• Give your child small responsibilities that contribute to the family (setting the table, feeding pets, helping with laundry).
• Play board games or complete puzzles together to practice turn-taking and teamwork.
• Model healthy communication by listening carefully and respecting different opinions.
• Encourage your child to use phrases like “How can I help?” or “Let’s figure this out together.”
• Talk about times when your family worked as a team and what made it successful.
When school and home work together, our students thrive! Thank you for partnering with us as we help our children grow into kind, collaborative leaders.
Let’s make it a month full of teamwork!
