🚲 E-BIKE SAFETY REMINDER 🚲

The safety of our community is always our top priority. As e-bikes continue to grow in popularity, we want to remind everyone to stay informed before making a purchase and before getting out on the road.

Not all e-bikes are the same—there are different classes, each with specific rules on where and how they can be operated. Understanding these differences is important to keep riders and others safe.

For parents, we encourage you to take an active role. Talk with your children about safe riding habits, set clear rules, and make sure they understand traffic laws. Helmets, awareness, and responsible riding can make all the difference.

We’re committed to education and awareness to help prevent accidents—not just enforcement. Let’s work together to keep our streets safe for everyone.

Today, on National Peace Officers Memorial Day, the Farmersville Police Department pauses to honor the courageous law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

We remember those who answered the call without hesitation and stood for something greater than themselves. Their bravery, dedication, and commitment to protecting others will never be forgotten.

To the families, friends, and fellow officers who continue to carry their legacy forward — we stand with you today and always.

As we wear the badge and continue the watch, we do so in honor of those who gave everything in the line of duty. 💙🇺🇸

During National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Week, we pause today to recognize K9 Memorial Day and honor the courageous canines who served alongside their handlers with unwavering loyalty and dedication.

These K9 partners protected our communities, stood beside their departments in times of danger, and gave their all in service to others. Their sacrifice and commitment will never be forgotten.

We also recognize and thank the K9s who continue to serve today. Every day they train, protect, track, detect, and stand ready beside their handlers to keep our communities safe. Their dedication, courage, and bond with their partners represent the very best of law enforcement service.

Today, we remember every K9 whose watch has ended and honor those who continue the mission. 🖤🐾

The Farmersville Police Department stands in solidarity with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office during this incredibly difficult time.

We mourn alongside our neighboring agency after the tragic loss of one of their deputies in the line of duty. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to the deputy’s family, friends, and the entire Tulare County Sheriff’s Office as they navigate this heartbreaking loss.

Law enforcement is more than a profession—it is a family. When one of us falls, we all feel the loss. The Farmersville Police Department stands with our brothers and sisters in Tulare County as we honor the life, service, and sacrifice of a fallen hero.

Rest easy. We will take it from here. 🇺🇸🖤

Please see TCSO’ Press Release below:

TCSO Deputy Killed in the Line of Duty, Residents Urged to Shelter in Place
Sheriff Boudreaux is devastated to announce the loss of a Tulare County Sheriff’s Office Deputy, after he was shot and killed this morning in Porterville.
Around 10:20 a.m. on 4/9/26, TCSO Deputies were in the area Newcomb and Grand in Porterville serving an eviction notice, when 60-year-old David Morales opened fire on them, hitting one TCSO Deputy.

The Deputy was rushed to a local hospital, where we are heartbroken to confirm, he passed away. Right now, Deputies are still on scene, as Morales is outstanding and shots are still being fired. Sheriff Boudreaux wants to urge anyone in that area to shelter in place. All schools in the area are also lockdown.

Sheriff Boudreaux has met with the fallen Deputy’s family and offered his deepest condolences. All of us at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office are shocked and incredibly saddened by today’s tragic events. We ask that you keep our Deputy’s grieving family in your prayers.
