A special thanks to our Branch Brigade, especially our very own Spider-Man, for helping Fog Nozzle and Battery Bob bring the National Fire Protection Association’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” to life! You don’t even need a cape or spidey senses to practice safe charging!

What a great Saturday at the Spooky Dash 5K and Fall Fest! Thank you to our fire department staff, citizen volunteers, and marvelous Branch Brigade clowns and characters for helping make it a fun day.

We saw so many great costumes, but we admit we were partial to the little firefighters—our future recruits!

And don’t worry—no fire chiefs were seriously injured during the Fire Chief Race!

Each year, State Farm partners with the National Fire Protection Association to provide these resources to fire departments across the country. After months of hard work and training, the FBFD officially placed our new ventilators into service on Monday, September 21!

This was made possible by a generous donation from the Metrocrest Hospital Authority. We received the ventilators back in July, and our Firefighter/Paramedics have been training on them ever since.

Within just 8 hours of being placed into service, these ventilators were used on a critically ill patient. The crew was able to effectively manage the patient’s ventilations with this new tool.

Thank you again Metrocrest Hospital Authority for your amazing support and this important donation!
