Rice County is offering a FREE deconstruction training opportunity for contractors to gain valuable skills and earn Continuing Education (C.E.) credits.

Training Schedule:
📅 Day 1 (Online): Monday, June 22
📅 Day 2 (In-Person): Choose either Monday, June 29 or Tuesday, June 30

Come & Join Rice County Environmental Services (ES) staff at the Riverwalk Market Fair in Northfield!

The Riverwalk Market Fair is an open-air summer market that is a vibrant celebration of local talent and flavor. As you stroll along the river, you'll discover a curated selection of fine art, artisan food, and fresh food straight from our local farmers. The atmosphere is brough to life by the sounds of talented local musicians, making every Saturday morning a true destination.

The Market is held every Saturday from May 16 - Oct. 31 (9 a.m.-1 p.m.) along the Cannon River on Bridge Square, 🌧️or☀️!

Come & see ES Staff on the following Saturdays:

June 13: Library story time at 10:45a.m. + T-Fiber will be handing out free ice cream!

July 4: Ice cream for breakfast with KYMN!

July 11: Northfield Jazz Festival will be happening around town + Library story time at 10:45a.m.

Rice County is hosting a deconstruction training for contractors within Rice County where Contractors are able to earn C.E. credits!

When: Two days in total; Day 1 (online) - Monday, June 22nd and Day 2 (in-person) - either Monday, June 29th or Tuesday, June 30th.

Improper disposal of medicines damages the environment. Proper disposal helps protect our soil and water.

Take It To The Box, available 24/7, promotes the safe use, storage and disposal of unneeded human and animal prescription and over-the-counter medications.

Place medications in the designated box in one of the locations listed below. It will be taken to an incinerator and destroyed.
• Faribault Police Department: 25 Fourth St. NW
• Lonsdale Police Department: 115 SW Alabama St.
• Northfield Police Department: 1615 Riverview Dr.
• Rice County Public Safety Center: 50 East View Dr.
