Our 6th graders had a great time at River Rendezvous at Alexander Park! Students stepped back in time and explored history through hands-on learning stations including tinsmithing, candlemaking, historic clothing, blacksmithing, tomahawks, and more. It was a fun and engaging day full of learning, history, and new experiences!

Our 6th grade Falcon Foundations students recently took a field trip to Morristown, where 41 sixth graders helped plant 1,039 native plants in a wetland area. Their efforts will help restore the area from former farming ground back to its original state to help combat flooding, stabilize the soil, create habitat for native species to return, and support efforts to address climate change. It was a great hands-on learning experience and an amazing way for students to make a positive impact on the environment and our community! 🌱

Our 8th grade students recently got a glimpse into the real world during the Junior Achievement Finance Park Pop-Up experience—putting their budgeting, decision-making, and financial literacy skills to the test in a hands-on simulation!

Students completed six Junior Achievement lessons leading up to the experience, helping them explore real-life scenarios like managing expenses, making smart financial choices, and planning for their futures—all skills they’ll carry with them well beyond the classroom.

This experience wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our community partners. A huge thank you to volunteers from Hometown Credit Union, Federated Insurance, Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, Jennie-O Turkey Store, and South Central College, our high school National Honor Society students, and local community members for helping bring this learning experience to life.

We’re so grateful for the time and expertise our community shares with our students—what an incredible way to connect learning to the real world!

Nearly 50 of our Faribault Middle School and Faribault High School students performed the Star-Spangled Banner before a Timberwolves/Suns game at the Target Center. Congrats to our students on a wonderful performance; what a tremendous point of pride for our music department, schools, and greater community!
