The Travel Section of the Fargo Fine Arts Club met on May 20 to finalize travel dates and events for 2026-2027. Carolyn Monzingo serves as chair and led the group in the discussion. Pictures are of the group meeting.

Upcoming events include August 12 for a visit to the Emily P. Reynolds Historic Costume Collection, and the new exhibits at the Germans from Russia Heritage Collection at NDSU, Nome Schoolhouse near Valley City, Chahinkapa Zoo & Carousel near Wahpeton, and Trollwood at Bluestem Disney Frozen performance and Symphony Rocks concert.

Lori DeRemer hosted the annual April garden tool sharpening event of the Garden Section. See the sparks fly!
In May, members of the Garden Section toured several locally owned garden retail centers to purchase flowers for their gardens. The group then met at Deaner's Diner in West Fargo for lunch and a short business meeting.

Michael Miller was the guest presenter at Art Section's May Luncheon. He introduced a Lawerence Welk video and danced to Lawerence Welk music with Art section member, Shirley White. They were accompanied on the piano by Sharon Mund..

Rennae Gruchalla, Valley City, ND, gave an impressive presentation on April 8 about the North Country National Scenic Trail of North Dakota, beginning at Ft. Abercrombie and ending 475 miles later at Riverdale near the Missouri River and Lake Sakakawea. Rennae serves as a tour guide and has written a book, Meadowlark’s Guide to the North Country Trail in North Dakota.

The Creative Living section of the Fine Arts Club recently had a program with Barb Schramm providing vocal lessons to the group. Barb is pictured teaching Vicki Bosch how to sing. Barb also brought two of her students, Izzy and Becca, to this fun afternoon event.

“Word Dances: Poetry in Motion” was recently presented to the Drama, Film and Music section of the Fine Arts Club by Katie Bruckbauer with her husband Mike as an assistant. Katie, combines poetry with interpretive dance and music to make her poetry come to life.
