Planting season is underway at Great Plains Food Bank. Our team has officially started the raised garden beds at our office, and we are excited to once again partner with Farm in the Dell of the Red River Valley and CASE IH to help grow fresh produce for neighbors across our region.

Gardens have the power to nourish communities, create connection, and provide access to fresh, nutritious food for families facing hunger.

Yesterday, we were proud to take part in United Way’s Day of Action 💙

Volunteers at Great Plains Food Bank helped create mobile food boxes that will support families across our region, while members of our team spent the day serving alongside other incredible organizations in our community, including the YMCA Early Learning Center playgrounds and the Immigrant Development Center.

Thank you to United Way, every volunteer, and every organization that made the day possible. Together, we are building a stronger community.

Yesterday, May 12, 2026, we officially turned the earth on the future home of Great Plains Food Bank’s new statewide distribution center, where we will continue expanding our mission to end hunger across North Dakota and Clay County, Minnesota.

This moment represented more than a building. It was an investment in the future of hunger relief. Through our Harvesting Hope Campaign, we are creating the capacity to meet growing needs, strengthen partnerships, increase access to food, and build a stronger, more resilient hunger relief network for generations to come.

We are deeply grateful to the community members, partners, supporters, and leaders who joined us to celebrate this milestone. Together, we are harvesting hope for our neighbors today and for the future. 💙
