Did you know that when corn is used to produce ethanol, it doesn't go to waste?

Nearly all of the corn's protein, fat, and nutrients remain after the ethanol production process and are repurposed into a valuable livestock feed known as distillers grains. πŸ„

This means one bushel of corn can help fuel our vehicles while also providing nutritious feed for animals, a win-win for agriculture and renewable energy! 🚜

Dairy Month + Fun Fact Friday!

Did you know a typical dairy cow can consume 2–3 tons of corn each year? That's enough corn to fill a large grain truck! 🚜

Corn provides valuable energy in dairy rations, helping cows stay healthy and produce the milk we enjoy every day. It's just one of the many ways corn and dairy work together on the farm.

Stay tuned throughout Dairy Month as we share more fun facts about the connection between corn and dairy! πŸŒ½πŸ„πŸ₯›

We were proud to join North Dakota State University today for the grand opening of its new swine research and teaching facility. This is a major investment in the future of livestock agriculture, student education, and agricultural research in North Dakota.

NDCUC Board Chairman Carson Klosterman shared remarks during the dedication, highlighting the importance of partnerships that strengthen opportunities for producers and help prepare the next generation of agricultural leaders.

As a principal donor to this project, we're honored to help support facilities that will serve North Dakota agriculture for years to come.

Want to see it for yourself? The public is welcome to tour the facility today until 4 p.m. as part of NDSU's Swine Field Day.
