The Falmouth Fire Department was beyond excited today to visit Camp Northward and help some campers beat the heat!

Our crews had a great time bringing Ladder 2610 out and cooling everyone down with some much-needed water fun on a warm day.

We were so excited, in fact, that Captain Trumble couldn't resist joining in on the fun! 🚒💦😄

We always enjoy opportunities like these to connect with our community, make memories with local youth, and show that firefighters know how to have fun too!

Thank you to Camp Northward for inviting us out. We hope everyone had an amazing day, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!

Tonight a line of storms heavily impacted the City of Falmouth. The Falmouth Fire Department was Dispatched simultaneously to multiple down trees, power lines and transformer issues in the City.

We would like to thank the Kentucky State Police Dispatch who handled a plethora of calls in the county and across their coverage area, Pendleton County Fire for their assistance in the city, and our City Utilities Department for their quick response and assistance!

Update: Pendleton County Fire has been requested for mutual aid due to the number of downed lines in the city!

The Falmouth Fire Department is on the scene of multiple lines down throughout the city and Transformers sparking.

All appropriate city and electric departments have been notified and we are working on mitigating the issues.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month

Mental health matters just as much as physical health.
Behind the smiles, uniforms, strong personalities, and “I’m fine” responses, many people are silently fighting battles nobody can see.

Check on your people.
Be kind.
Listen without judgment.
And remember — asking for help is not weakness, it’s strength.

For those carrying heavy thoughts, exhaustion, anxiety, grief, or burnout: you are not alone, and you do not have to suffer in silence.

Take care of your mind the same way you take care of everyone else. 🤍

🏀🚒 Tonight was bigger than basketball.

Watching our firefighters hit the court with the local kids reminded us what this job is really about — building trust, creating memories, and showing up for our community both on and off the emergency scene.

There were no alarms, no sirens, and no emergencies tonight… just laughter, teamwork and friendly competition.

Moments like these strengthen the bond between the fire department and the community we proudly serve.

Sometimes the best way to protect a community… is simply spending time in it.

Happy International Firefighters’ Day 🚒🔥

Today we recognize the ones who don’t hesitate. The ones who show up when everything is falling apart. The ones who walk into chaos with purpose, training, and a mindset most people will never understand.

This job isn’t just sirens and lights—it’s sacrifice. It’s missed holidays, long nights, and calls that stay with you long after the shift ends. It’s carrying weight most people never see, and still finding the strength to answer the next alarm.

Firefighters are built differently—driven by something deeper than recognition. It’s about service, loyalty, and having each other’s backs no matter what.

To every firefighter out there: your courage matters, your sacrifice matters, and you are respected more than words can say.

Stay safe. Stay ready. Always.
