WOW… what a day at our Older Americans Month Celebration!!
Today was everything this month is supposed to be about — celebrating the amazing seniors who make our center so special every single day. We had such a great turnout, signed up new participants, shared lots of laughs, and made so many memories together!
And let’s talk about the chair volleyball competition… 🏐😂
We may have gotten beat by some of the girls from St. Elizabeth, BUT we came right back and handled business against Lisa and Michelle with the CAC RSVP Program. We also gave some of the guys from the Pendleton County Fire Department a pretty good beating too! Apparently the competition was so much fun they already want to come back this summer for more chair volleyball action. Around here, everybody just wants in on the fun!
A huge THANK YOU to Magistrate Rick Mineer and Judge David Fields for coming out to cook, play volleyball, and spend time with our seniors. We appreciate your support more than you know!
The beautiful bags were made by Signed by Heather, and so many of the amazing raffle baskets were put together and donated by Tammy Spicer. Thank you to Tammy Steele as well for donating our cups! ❤️ You all helped make the day extra special for our seniors.
Most importantly, thank you to each and every one of our seniors. This month is all about YOU. Thank you for the laughter, friendships, stories, kindness, and joy you bring into this building every day. You are the reason this place feels like home, and without you, none of this would be possible.
We truly do have the BEST seniors around
