Falmouth Ky 41040 or if you would like to join, training will be held at the Eoc next to high school on Nov 7 at 9 am. Class will be on ropes. All training and meetings are on the first Sat of every month. Must come to meeting or training 3 times in a roll, if not you start over and then get voted on. Basic Training classes are a requirement and they are a 3 day class. This class can be taken after you get on and normally they are out of town.

FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT THRU LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Flash flooding possible. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams and low-lying and flood-prone locations

Several rounds showers/thunderstorms possible. Up to an inch expected with local amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible

If you live in flood prone areas, be prepared to take action should flooding develop

FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM THIS AFTERNOON

Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles

UPDATE: A Golden Alert has been issued by the Falmouth Police Department for Mr Miller due to his medical condition. An extensive search of the Falmouth area has been conducted by the Falmouth Police Department, Pendleton County Sheriff's Office, Pendleton County Search and Rescue including their four dog teams, Boone County Sherriff's Office with their drone, and support services provided by Pendleton County CERT.

If you see or know the whereabouts of Leonard Miller, please contact Kentucky State Police at 859-428-1212.

With summer coming soon here is some helpful tips K9 Mo has a special request:
Do you have someone or know someone that may walk off or forget where they are supposed to be going? You can help your Search and Rescue team by creating a scent article for the K9 Teams. Please see directions below! Message our page if you have questions.

K9 Scent Preservation Kit Instructions

1. Put on gloves

2. Open gauze pad

3. If capable, have the person take gauze pad and rub it on face, neck, arms and legs (if infant, or not capable, parent can do this step with gloves)

4. Place gauze pad in plastic bag

5. Seal bag

6. Write name of person and date on label, then adhere label to bag

7. Store in freezer for up to 5 years

8. In the event the person goes missing or runs away, give this kit to K9 handler

Last weekend, two of our SAR techs were volunteering at a training seminar. While supporting the seminar, they were able to quickly shift gears to a real world call-out from another county. Fortunately, the person was found safely within the next 30 minutes of mutual aid assistance. We love seeing our team support other counties/teams when help is needed.
