The 25th anniversary of the September 11 terror attacks was observed at Pennsbury High School East with a remembrance ceremony led by the PHS Air Force Junior Officer Training Corps (AFJROTC).

Students, staff, and District administration quietly gathered as AFJROTC cadets presented the colors, raised the American flag, and offered readings and remarks in honor of the lives lost on that fateful day.

The ceremony included a detailed timeline of the tragic events from 25 years ago, while cadets placed individual flowers at the remembrance wreath positioned at the base of the flagpole.

For our students, 9/11 is a day they know only through history books and the firsthand accounts of those who experienced it. While they have no memories of that day, ceremonies like this help ensure each new generation remembers its history, its lessons, and the lives lost.

Pennsbury High School Project Video Update #10, September 9, 2026

In this weeks video you will see:
-Continuation of earthwork for the drainage basin that will be under the parking area in front of the school
-Excavation for the drainage basin in the area that will become the gymnasium and pool area parking.
-Continuation of erosion control across the site including seeding of the berms.
-Footings in portion “A” of the building are now being marked and earth excavated in preparation for rebar installation. Once complete, concrete will be poured to create the footings.
-Installation of the rock construction entrance off of Hood Boulevard has started.

And some things completed that you might not be able to see:
-Construction site and pedestrian safety signage installation is in progress.
-Safety and security measures along the internal access road.

Coming soon:
-Underground utility work across the site.

We remain on schedule and on budget for a September 2029 opening and look forward to sharing weekly updates as construction progresses. 1,083 days to August 27, 2029!

This year, 595 PHS students took 1,152 AP exams across 28 subjects, representing a 33% increase from 2025.

Even more impressive, 92% of students earned a score of 3 or higher on at least one AP exam.

PHS also had 98 AP Scholars with Distinction, representing approximately 16% of AP test takers. AP Scholars with Distinction earn an average score of at least 3.5 across all AP exams taken and receive scores of 3 or higher on five or more exams.

Based on average exam scores, PHS students performed best in:

Physics C: Mechanics — 4.43
African American Studies — 4.42
Precalculus — 4.36
Music – Non-Aural — 4.20
U.S. Government and Politics — 4.07

These results reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers, and the strong academic opportunities available at Pennsbury High School.
