Falls City Utility staff will flush fire hydrants starting May 18th, from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting. The flushing of 214 fire hydrants can take a few weeks to complete.

During flushing, avoid using water briefly to prevent discolored water from entering your service piping. Temporary brownish-red discoloration may occur, but it's not harmful. After flushing, run cold water for a few minutes to clear any discoloration. Avoid washing white clothes during this time.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Your patience is appreciated.

🌳 Utility Line Tree Trimming Notice ⚡

Our Falls City line crew is currently out trimming trees to keep branches clear of power lines. As this work is completed, you may notice trimmed branches temporarily piled on your property.

Please don’t worry — all branches will be picked up, though in some cases pickup may not occur until the next day.

As the line crew is trimming trees, the street department is following and removing the branches in order to make this process as efficient as possible.

This work is being done within established utility easements and public rights-of-way as part of line maintenance.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work.
