CASA of Churchill County- Court Appointed Special Advocates You can help make a difference for a child or teen in foster care in Churchill County.

A CASA is a well-trained individual who can devote the time necessary to listen to the child, investigate their concerns and situation and develop feasible options for the Court to consider that represent the best interest of the child. They are not tethered to an overburdened caseload and they are not responsible for focusing on the entire family. They are not responsible for providing appropriat

e legal representation but rather mentor-ship and support. To be clear, a CASA is not designed to be an adversary to the social worker or the attorney, but rather is an important member of the team whose ultimate goal is the best interest of that child.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to Fallon PRCA Rodeo Queen of Hearts Barrel Race supporter Kim Paulsen, for her incredibly generous $5,000 donation to Churchill County CASA! ❤️

Because of supporters like Kim, we are able to continue advocating for children in our community who need a voice, support, and hope during some of life’s most difficult moments. Your kindness and generosity make a direct and meaningful impact on the lives of the children we serve.

We are beyond grateful for your support of our mission and for standing beside Churchill County CASA in creating brighter futures for local children. Thank you, Kim, for your huge heart and unwavering support! 👑♥️

Fallon PRCA Rodeo Week is made possible by some of the most incredible event producers, volunteers, and supporters throughout our 10 days of events.

As many of you know, we have chosen to partner with CASA this year and direct our fundraising efforts toward helping children in our community who need a voice and an advocate.

One of our amazing event producers, the team behind the Queen of Hearts Barrel Race, has made it their mission to support this cause in a big way. We’re especially grateful to Queen of Hearts supporter Kim Paulsen, who kicked off our fundraising efforts with an incredible $5,000 donation to CASA.

Kim, thank you for your generosity and for helping us make an impact that reaches far beyond the arena.

If you’d like to support this cause, please reach out to us or join us at the Fallon PRCA Rodeo on June 16 & 17. Every person in the stands helps make a difference right here in our community.

🤠❤️ Together, we’re proving that rodeo is about more than competition—it’s about coming together to change lives.

Continuing our foster care FAQ series for Foster Care Awareness Month, this is an important one.

You do not have to become a foster parent to make a difference. People support children in foster care in all kinds of ways, including volunteering with organizations like CASA, mentoring, donating resources, and advocating for children and families.

The lights. The rodeo. The energy. The crowd. 🤠✨

But behind all of it is something even bigger.

This year, the Fallon PRCA Rodeo is helping support CASA and the incredible work they do for children in foster care throughout our community.

Because of YOU, this event continues to become more than just a rodeo — it becomes a way to give back, create impact, and rally around people who need support the most.

As we continue sharing foster care FAQs during Foster Care Awareness Month, one important question is how long children typically stay in care.

The answer varies widely. Some children are in foster care for a short time, while others remain in the system for years. Every case is different, which is part of why consistent support matters so much.

Throughout May, we’re sharing a few foster care FAQs for Foster Care Awareness Month.

First up: What is foster care?

These numbers represent real kids.

National Foster Care Month is about raising awareness and supporting the kids and families involved. CASA volunteers help make sure a child doesn’t have to go through it alone.
