It's getting closer. The fun time at the Fall River Community Building is coming soon. Priscilla Howe and friends will be here July 25th at 3:00 P.M. We will have refreshments and a bag of goodies for the kids to take home and drinks. Please come and enjoy her humor.

If you are interested in the summer program, elderly and children we are working for the summer program to be fun and exciting. Toward the month of June we will be having some fun and reading some books and painting and we have a surprise for you at a special event to start off with a bang. So come and join us for the upcoming events....

Summer is coming up and I am trying my best to get kids to come to the library. Any ideas please let me know what it is. I am willing to try most anything.
I am now working with another library to split the cost of a lady that reads to kids and is very funny and entertaining to come to Fall River to the library during the summer.
I am looking to give the kids that come and this will be several times during the summer a shirt at the end of our program. I need kids and adults if they want to participate to sign up for the program and get sizes that they wear so the shirts will fit.
Please help me make this a fun summer at the Fall River Library.
I need sizes by May 2nd.

Would you like to come to the Library and pick out a book to take home with you? For the nest 30 days until the end of December you can get a book and a kit to make a Mini Zen Garden (as long as they last). The kit has everything you will need to make the Zen Garden. There is no charge.... There is a paper that tells you how and why you will want to do this. I look forward to seeing you!!!!!! Sue

I hope you all have noticed our Library and how good it looks. We have a whole line of new books for children from babies to young adults. Come in and see all the new books that we have. They are on a shelf right inside the door on top of the red rolling cart. I will be posting here each month, if doing something special I will let you know by posting about it. Sue

Hello everyone. I hope if you were in Fall River on Saturday you enjoyed the fun and food at the Bar-B-Que. It was a little warm but I think that most everyone was having a good time so it didn't seem so bad. We had a good Breeze.
The food was sooooo good!!!! I hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did. The material for the Library's siding has been ordered by Gary Brown. He is just the nicest person to work with. Stay tuned and I will keep you up to date on what is happening. Sue

Well it has been awhile since I have been on here. Believe it or not I have been busy with all the books that people have donated to the library. Thank you to all of you that have thought of the library. If you haven't had a chance to read the you and me news this month here is the latest on your library.
I have been busy for the last month filling out the State Report. That is how we get some of the funding for our library.
We are having a fund raiser for the library this month. We are having a raffle. There are pictures of all of the things that we have been given at the Library, the Post Office ,the Grocery Store and the Bank. The tickets are available at all of these places. The tickets are
$1 a piece or 6 for $5. We have a lot of really nice things to give away.
We will also have a drive by dinner in March of Corn-beef and Cabbage and Beer Bread. Stay tuned for more details soon.
The raffle will be going on until February 25th. On that day we will draw names for the winners of all the items that we have. So be sure and get your tickets.
All of the proceeds will go to improve the Fall River Public Library building. The floor in the children's room needs repaired and we have a quote and money to take care of this if it is not more extensive than we think. We need new carpeting and are in the process of getting a quote for that. We also need repairs for the outside of the building and a paint job. We will get quotes for these things later. We have also discovered that the roof needs repairs right away. Soooo there is lots to do. Thank you in advance for all that you do to help our town keep our library.
WE ARE ALSO GOING TO HAVE PIE DAY ON THE 11TH OF THIS MONTH.

The library is almost finished: Nick made a "Children's Room" sign for us. It is really nice and very creative; Thank You Nick! I really appreciate what you do for our town and library! There has not been much library traffic due to the Covid, but we are here for you. Shipping books out for readers has been going very well and we have several books going out most days.
I have been attending Zoom meetings for my education an ideas to share with our patrons. If you have a book you want to order from another library, we can do it. Just like all of you, I am hoping going back to school goes well for all the kids and the teachers.
On September 10th, we will have a visit from Roger Carswell: he is the Director for the SEKLS. He is bringing a new employee to see all of the libraries in our system..See you soon. Sue

Hi everyone. Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I went to Neosho, Mo. to watch my grandson Hudson. I took Sally with me and they had a great time together.
We are getting closer to being done with all the improvements to the back room of the library. We have a new poster of all of the things that the library has to offer.. It is really cool. They will be posted at the library and on businesses down town so you can be informed of what all is available. Sue

I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Arien and Evelyn Shinkle for all of the help given to their community by helping with the painting at the Library. They spent several days helping me work on the Library's new children's room. Dean and Sally Shinkle joined in the painting and clean up and getting books back on the shelves.

Last Thursday was pie day and we had a pretty good showing and we made deliveries to the grocery store for some of the customers.

Soon we would like to have an open house so that everyone can come and see the results of our work. We are doing our best to make this a place where the children around Fall River can come and enjoy looking at the books that we have and give us ideas for any new books they would like for us to get.
