Currently on Pine Street, in an old FRPD & FRFD communications building, the VABC will soon be on the move.

Victor Farias is Fall River’s Graves and Flags Officer. Prior to Memorial Day, Mr. Farias leads volunteers to ensure a fresh, crisp flag is placed at the grave of every veteran buried in our city, which is approximately 11,000! Mr. Farias explained the root of his patriotism while working at the Jewish Cemetery in the South End.

Retired U.S. Army Nurse, Mary Goff, selected by Fall River Memorial Day Parade Committee, is this year’s Grand Marshall. Mrs. Goff served in the Vietnam Theatre for twenty months. She worked in a one-thousand bed hospital in Japan, treating critically injured soldiers evacuated from Vietnam.
