After 3 calls yesterday all contributed to controlled burns it seems people need to be reminded that’s it’s dangerously dry out there people, there were numerous other controlled burns going yesterday with no burn permits called in. You can and hopefully will be fined and responsible for any damage caused by your negligence, there are systems in place to protect property, use them and remember it only takes one wind gust to make a controlled burn uncontrollable. Thank you for your cooperation.

🚒🔥 It’s been a very busy week as our team responded to several fires across the area.

On Tuesday evening, we provided mutual aid to Sidney Fire for a fire near the river. On Wednesday, our crew returned one grass rig, followed by our 2-ton truck and water tender. Not long after, we were dispatched to a hay yard fire northwest of Fairview, where our firefighters worked long hours through the day and into the night. The fire was finally brought under control late Thursday.

We are incredibly proud of our crew and the effort they put in during a demanding few days. 💪

We also want to thank our community for the overwhelming support. From bringing food and drinks throughout the day to bringing us water trucks and trailers—your help was greatly appreciated. 🙏

This community truly knows how to stand up in a time of need. ❤️
