NOTICE: The location for the BOCC, Excise Board, and Tax Roll Correction Board meetings scheduled for June 1, 2026, has been changed.

The meetings will be held at the Major County Fairgrounds – Expo Center at the regular scheduled time for each Board.

Public Service Announcement:

The Major County Registrar of Deeds Office will be closed to public access for record book viewing from May 18, 2026, through May 22, 2026.

This temporary closure is due to flooring installation within the department. During this time, record books and shelving will be temporarily relocated to allow installers adequate workspace.

Due to operational adjustments, the Land Records Department will continue operating from the main area of the County Clerk’s Office for the limited purpose of processing daily mail and filing documents only.

We understand this may cause inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience as we work to complete these improvements and restore normal operations as quickly as possible.

If you have questions or need assistance, please contact the office at (580) 227-3918. We will do our best to assist with your needs during this time.

Proud moment for our office 🤍

Please join me in congratulating Tina Case on her successful candidacy for Major County Treasurer. After filing and running unopposed, she has officially secured the position and will step into the role once the current term concludes.

Tina brings 14 years of dedicated service in the Registrar of Deeds office, along with a strong work ethic and commitment to our community. She has been a steady, dependable presence in our office, and while she will be greatly missed, I have no doubt she will continue to serve with the same integrity and excellence in this next chapter.

Congratulations Tina, we’re all cheering you on! 🫶🏻

Out of an abundance of caution for the safety of courthouse employees and the public, the Major County Courthouse will open at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27th.

We appreciate your understanding!

The Major County Courthouse will be closed on January 26th, 2026.

Our regular Board of County Commissioner meeting will be cancelled, and a special meeting has been scheduled for January 28th, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. with the same agenda line items.
