Stop by the library to pick up a fun coloring sheet for the time capsule!

As part of our 150th celebration, we’re creating a community time capsule—and we’d love your help. This is our chance to capture what life in Fairmont looks like today—our stories, traditions, and everyday moments—to be discovered by future generations.

What kind of items should you consider?

▪ A note or letter to future residents
▪ Photos of daily life, events, or favorite places
▪ Kids’ drawings or “about our town” pages
▪ Favorite traditions or recipes
▪ Local business items, flyers, or programs
▪ Predictions for the future
▪ Minutes from your group or organization's meeting
▪ Be sure to label ALL ITEMS with your Name, Age (if you are comfortable including!), length of time you've lived in Fairmont, etc.

The Fairmont Public Library coloring sheets for children as well as "A Snapshot of Life in Fairmont Today" forms for adults.

You can drop your items off at Fairmont Public Library before or after this weekend's celebration OR bring to the Mural Dedication on Saturday at 1:15pm, near the Fairmont car wash.

Volunteers will be at Fairmont Public Library on Saturday from 9AM - 12 PM to assist anyone needing help with the online ticket purchase process.

Simply bring your cell phone and a credit card, and we'll walk you through it!

Donuts will be provided.

We look forward to celebrating an unforgettable night at the 150th Old Settlers Picnic!

We kicked off our Summer Reading Program today by digging into the fascinating world of soil with Olivia and Brandy! The kids learned all about soil, why it's important, what are the different parts of soil, and the amazing things happening beneath our feet. Thank you to Olivia and Brandy for helping us start our summer adventure of learning and discovery! We can't wait to see everyone at our upcoming programs as we continue to "Unearth a Story" all summer long.
