🇺🇸 September 11th | Triton Central Homecoming 🇺🇸

Tonight, we’re proud to support the Triton Triton Central Tigers as they take on the Beech Grove Hornets for a special Homecoming football game.

As our community comes together under the Friday night lights, we also pause to remember September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation and reminded us of the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of first responders and ordinary Americans.

Tonight, our ladder truck proudly flies the American flag over the field as a symbol of remembrance, unity, and gratitude. 🇺🇸

We remember those we lost.
We honor those who served.
We thank those who continue to protect and serve our communities.

🇺🇸 25 YEARS LATER — WE REMEMBER. 🇺🇸

Today, September 11, 2026, marks the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we still remember the 2,977 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the countless heroes who answered the call when our nation needed them most.

As firefighters, we especially remember the 343 firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice while running toward danger as others were running away.

We remember their courage.
We remember their sacrifice.
We remember the brotherhood.
We remember the families they left behind.

Their names may have become history, but their actions will never be forgotten.

Today, the Moral Township Fire Department honors all of the first responders, military personnel, civilians, and families affected by the events of September 11, 2001.

25 years later.
Never forget. 🇺🇸🚒

The duty crew today traveled to Central Crane in Pleasant View for a preplan of the building.
Crews gain familiarity with the layout, where electrical, water, risers are located. As well as figuring out access to the property, where hydrants and the fire department connection are located.
Walk throughs like this are extremely beneficial when and if an emergency does occur. It helps our members have better understanding of the building prior to arrival, plus these preplans are easily accessible for our members to see on the way to the incident.

The Moral Township Fire Department is extremely humbled with this donation of tools.
These will be used for years to come and are a great asset to our department.

Over the past few days members of Station 81 have been in Brownsburg participating in a classroom and hands on training over big box warehouses.
Our members are trying to get a better understanding of tactics, fire protection systems, and the amount of manpower required to make an attack in one of these structures.
I would like to thank our members for taking the time to take this in so we can bring it back to the rest of the department.

Working Vehicle Fire

Station 81 dispatched this afternoon for a working trailer fire.
Engine 81 arrived to find a 28ft enclosed construction trailer, heavily involved in fire. Engine 81 initiated attack while Tanker 81 secured a water supply to a hydrant on Frontage Road.
Crews worked for just over an hour before returning to service.

Thanks to ISP for assisting with traffic control!

Working Residence Fire

Station 81 dispatched to a residence fire during the overnight hours. Engine 81 arrived to find a residence heavily involved in fire. It took multiple crews flowing multiple lines to get this fire under control.
